Baptism marks the beginning of our lifelong journey as disciples of Jesus Christ. When Jesus began his lifework for God, he was baptized in the Jordan river. Jesus asked all of us to be baptized by water and the Spirit. Baptism makes us new in Jesus and we become part of God’s big, wide, wonderful church family. Baptism represents God's promises to us in this sacrament and it also marks what we promise to God. At Saint John's, persons of any age may be Baptized- infants, children, youth, and adults. A person receives the sacrament of Baptism only once in their life.
