Children and Youth

Small Groups

As we move forward out of the pandemic, we have a few ongoing small groups meeting in person and some as a hybrid class. If you are looking for more information about ongoing small groups, please contact our Director of Faith Development, Shelley Walters.

Open Circle SUndays in room 201:

Men and women of all ages meeting in person and on Zoom. Following diverse bible study curriculum. No homework! Taught by Shari Holland.

WOW Class sundays in room 210

Worlds of Wisdom- discussions among mature disciples of God. All ages welcome, and classes are focused on devotionals for those who have lived long lives. Taught by Barbara Holmes.

Wesley Class in room 208-209

Taught by Roy Walker and John King.

Journey in the Great Hall

Taught by Rev. Hilary Marchbanks. Youth can attend Journey with their parents for summer.

Circuit Riders on Sundays in room 211

For young adults. Starting for the fall on September 12 on Zoom. For more information, email Rev. Randy Knighten.

JOY (JUst older Youth)

11:00 am on Tuesdays. Geared towards seniors, but all are welcome. Click here to learn more.

Faith Green Team

Join our environmental stewardship team as they work to raise awareness, educate, promote faith-based action to help the earth.

Saint John's Threaders

Do you love to knit, crochet, quilt or embroider? The Threaders work on individual and group projects, including prayer blankets.

Saint John's Pedalers

Cyclists of all skill levels are invited to join this group, which raises money through bike rides for local charities.

Saint John's Steppers

If you love the outdoors and like getting your daily walk in while you raise money to address hunger in Austin with the CROP Walk or Mental Health Awareness with the NAMI walk – the Steppers are for you.

Veterans' Group (The Gathering)

Join a support group for veterans of all ages. Typically meets the first Tuesday of each month for cookies, coffee, and discussion.

United Methodist Women

For women of all ages. Click here to learn more.

Men's covenant Group

For men who love breakfast and the bible. Every Friday morning at 7:15 am at First Watch on Anderson ln.

Bread for Our Journey is a curated collection of resources available online. You can use this curriculum as an individual, in informal small groups, or as a family.

These reflections are intended to deepen our understanding of scripture, to open our awareness of different voices and wisdom, and to broaden our spiritual practices that bring creativity and justice to our world.
