My name is Soft Leaf Yucca and I truly do have a smooth leaf, unlike my sawtooth neighbor the spikey Sotol plant. I have a white bloom and am evergreen, so I provide color all year round. The Yucca Giant Skipper butterfly has even chosen me as its larval host and moths like my nectar. I require little water and in the wild, I live in pastures, prairie, plains, savannas and hillsides — so I love Texas! Please come by the SJUMC Pollinator Garden and say “howdy” (Really!  It’s true that we plants love a good chat with you humans!)
