Plant of the Week: Black & Blue Salvia                                                                  

Hello SJUMC! Although I’m not a native (my family isn’t from Texas), I got here as fast as I could. I am a perennial Black & Blue Salvia and I am gorgeous! That’s not just my opinion: bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds feel the same way. I am happy in mostly sunny conditions, but some afternoon shade is fine. I can grow 2-5 feet tall with beautiful blue and purple stalks of flowers. I do best with a haircut in late winter. Please come visit me in the new SJUMC Pollinator Garden!
