and before and after the Tidings concert on Thursday, December 4
This holiday season, you can choose to give the gift that gives twice! Gifts of Hope acknowledge friends and family members with donations in their honor. Cards will be on sale before and after the Tidings of Joy concert on Thursday, December 4 (concert begins at 6:30 p.m.), and Sunday mornings in the Gallery, December 7, 14, and 21. If you would like a physical card denoting your gift, you can pick one up at the time you order if ordering in person, or from the church office if ordering online.
Each year the Saint John's Risk-Taking Mission and Service Committee (RTMS) selects organizations with missions closely aligned to church priorities to benefit the Gifts of Hope program. The ten organizations listed below have been selected to benefit from your gifts this year. You may click on the name of each organization to learn more about its mission. Donors may contribute to one, or as many groups as they wish.
NEW THIS YEAR! Austin Clubhouse - holistic programs improving the lives of individuals living with mental illness.
Casa Marianella - shelter and supportive services for displaced immigrants.
Community First! Village - permanent housing and supportive services for the formerly homeless.
Hope Food Pantry - addressing food insecurity in Austin families since 2000.
Lydia Patterson Institute - Methodist-sponsored school in El Paso, TX serving needy students from Juarez, Mexico.
Rainbow Room - providing clothing and other necessities to children in crisis under the care of Child Protective Services.
The Refuge Ranch - residential facility providing safety and support services to single mothers and their children who have experienced severe trauma.
NEW THIS YEAR! Sammy's House - a child development and respite care program serving medically fragile infants and toddlers and their families.
Women’s Storybook Project - providing a connection between children and their incarcerated mothers.
