Honor Friends and Family with

Gifts of Hope

On Sunday, December 4th and 11th, between and following church services, Gifts of Hope Gift Certificates will be available. Members will be able to select from nine worthwhile organizations to make donations honoring friends or family members. Donors receive a festive holiday card to present to their honoree containing information on the organization receiving the donation. Each of the nine groups is closely aligned with the mission priorities of Saint John’s.

On Friday, December 9th, before and following the Glad Tidings concert, and again Saturday morning, December 10th, baked good, jellies, jams and other goodies from the kitchens of Saint John’s members, will be available for sale. Gift cards will also be available at this time. All proceeds from the Bake Sale go to support Saint John’s Mission Projects.

Each year the Saint John’s Risk Taking and Mission Services Committee selects a limited number of organizations to benefit from the Gifts of Hope. Under this program, donations are made to benefit one or more of the selected organizations to honor friends and family members during the blessed Christmas season. Donors receive an appropriate acknowledgement to present to that special person. Nine organizations have been selected to benefit from your Gifts of Hope this year. Please click on each organization name below to learn more about their important work.

Donors may contribute to one, or as many groups as they wish via check or credit card. The traditional printed acknowledgement cards and inserts appropriate for mailing will be available before and following each church service on December 4 and 11 and in the church offices during December. Contributors making donations online have access to a festive electronic certificate with details about their chosen organization(s) appropriate for printing to pass along to your honoree(s). Printed acknowledgements can also be requested online. Printed acknowledgements must be requested no later than December 15th to be received before Christmas.

To make your donation by check, please click here and print a donation form to mail with your check to Gifts of Hope, Saint John’s UMC, 2140 Allandale, Austin TX 78757.
