What Do We Have For Children?
SPECIAL ACTIVITIES FOR CHILDREN AND FAMILIES
PUMPKINFEST
Held in October, this is a free carnival-like festival with many game booths, moonwalk, food, fun, and fellowship open to all in the mid-town community to enjoy.
ADVENT
Each December the children age 4 through 4th grade gather for a “Happy Birthday Jesus” party. During this afternoon celebration, children listen to a storyteller recite the story of the First Christmas, sing songs and create their own gingerbread houses.
LENT/EASTER
On Palm Sunday, the Children’s Ministry provides an Easter Egg Hunt and lunch for all families with children up to 5th grade.
CHRISTMAS EVE SERVICES
There are three services on Christmas Eve with the 5:00 p.m. service specifically designed for families with young children. We provide an impromptu Christmas pageant so all children can participate in the service.
