ADULT SUNDAY MORNING GROUPS
Groups meet between the two Sunday morning worship services, approximately 9:45 - 10:45. Start times vary among classes..
COMPANIONS CLASS
Annex A (5906 Wynona), 10:00 a.m. A group of progressive, mostly 40-somethings, focused on love for each other and community, members of the Reconciling Ministries Network.
DISCUSSION CLASS
Room 119, 9:50 a.m. Couples and singles 60 and over in this class consider relevant books and papers within the context of the Bible and our Faith. The class discusses the intersection of current social issues and Christian Faith.
FELLOWSHIP CLASS
Room 210, 9:45 a.m. Dynamic Bible study using the International Lesson Series and discussion. Singing begins each class and all are welcome.
WESLEY CLASS
Room 208, 10:00 a.m. Anyone is welcome to join this class for scholarly, well-researched Bible lectures. The International Lesson Series is the basis for their Bible study and discussion. This class loves to sing! The regular socials provide time for fun and fellowship.
THE HAPPY HERETICS
5900 Wynona (front room), 9:50 a.m. Lively and topical religious discussions dealing with real world issues of modern Christianity and faith.
YOUNG ADULTS CLASS
Room 207, 10:00 a.m. This young-adults class (mostly 20s and 30s) focuses on discussion, fellowship, and service. Visitors highly encouraged! We meet upstairs from the sanctuary in room 207, and programs range from topical discussions to books, videos, and guest speakers.
OPEN CIRCLE
Annex C (5906 Wynona, at back of house), 9:50 a.m. Singles and couples 30s-60s who support one another through life's challenges and grow spiritually together. Contemporary book and "lite" biblical studies, DVDs and guest speakers. Somewhat unstructured and discussion regularly strays from the topic!
THE SEEKERS CLASS
5900 Wynona (back room), 9:50 a.m. Singles and couples in their 30s to 50s seeking to become better disciples of Christ through primarily scripture-based studies. Class time is informal yet enriching through education, prayer and support for each other. The class also enjoys family-oriented service and social events.
SERENITY CLASS
Room 206, 9:45 a.m. A discussion-based class that focuses on lectionary Scripture readings, The Upper Room Disciplines and the 12-Step Program. All who want to grow and help others on their personal and spiritual journeys are invited.
CROSSROADS
Room 201, 10:00 a.m. For young adults, single or married, 18-29 age group, career-minded or searching, in school or out soon. To provide a supportive framework to help young people grow in faith.
