LIVING IN COMMUNITY

Life in community is central to the Christian faith. God calls us together into community just as Jesus called the disciples into life together. At the heart of community is the love, care, acceptance and support we provide to each other.

Living in community blesses us with the privilege of sharing celebrations of joy (marriages, births, job promotions, clean bills of health, etc.) and walking together through sorrows (deaths, illnesses, loss of employment, separations, divorces, and more).

Opportunities to support each other are abundant. Most often this takes the form of a greeting card, phone call, or e-mail; a meal, flowers, and prayers. Many times a quiet and comforting presence, smile, or hug is the best gift of all.
